Diwali Celebrations-2017

We at HIS, Karapakkam celebrated Diwali as a school. The Children were colourfully dressed and excited to light the diyas . Morning assembly started with a prayer and a Special speeches on Diwali were given by Grade 7 and Grade 8 students. A Special Diwali poem was composed and read by Mr.Kamalnathan,Tamil Teacher. Our Academic co-ordinator Ms.Jeeja Joshi greeted both staff and children. She explained the meaning of “Festival of Lights” to celebrate the triumph of good over evil – of light over darkness – to mark the return of Ram, the lord of virtue, to his kingdom after 14 years of exile.Children brought Diwali sweets and shared with their friends. All the children learnt how to decorate Diyas using variety of beads and glitter.
